JSKM's publication ethics statement provides guidance concerning the ethical responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher throughout the publication process.
2. Plagiarism Screening Policy
Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. If authors use the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.
All received manuscripts will undergo a plagiarism screening process by the editorial board. Jurnal Studi Komunikasi dan Media utilizes iThenticate plagiarism detection software for all submissions in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
3. Copyright Notice
Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
- Copyright on any article is retained by the author(s).
- Authors grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work, such as posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book, with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
6. Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, permitting them to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
7. Article Processing Charges
Every article submitted to Jurnal Studi Komunikasi dan Media is free of any Article Processing Charges.
This zero-fee policy covers manuscript submission, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintenance, and archiving, while ensuring immediate open access to the full-text versions of all articles.
8. Privacy Statement
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
